I'm Rio Alfajri, a student from SMA Xaverius 4 Palembang. I have never imagined before that I will receive many important experience. Do you know that I have never imagined that I can deliver my speech in front of my teacher and all my friends in the ceremony flag. The special is my speech use English. The picture above was taken when I joint Olimpiade Sains Nasional in Manado, one thing also that I have never imagined before.

And in this opportunity I will bring my first speech to you all my Sinar Wawasan friend.

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Good Afternoon,
My honorable judicators, all teachers, and my friends who blessed by Allah.
Best wishes for you all.

First of all, let us say thanks to Allah, to our God, because of it’s bless I can stand up in here to deliver my speech to all audience. And also for the best conditions It gives to us.


Well, I absolutely know that I’m not the best orator, but I will give my best speech today. My speech topic is about “the student’s role of education development in Indonesia”. Fortunately, I’m as a student in Indonesia must know what my role is in education development and the problem of it.

Okay, now I want to bring you to 8 years ago, 2002. In 2002, Indonesian government began the education development. The Indonesian government knew that the most important part in education system was the teacher. So, they focused to teacher’s duty and also their future.

That decision was not wrong, even I believe it was the best decision that our government have done. But our government forgot to bring us “the student” to join in the education development. In here, I will remind you about “student’s power”. Our power as a student can make many positive improvements. For simple example, have you ever heard about our dragon ship teams in Asian games Guang Zhou China 2010? Most of them started from a student who had dreams and realized their dreams in extra study program at school. And finally they succeed to bring 3 gold medals from Asian games 2010. It is because student’s power. Well, the important thing is not the gold medals, but how active the students in process to get the achievement. Student’s power also need in education development. But the problem is we have to be an active student to make student’s power. It can not appear if we are a passive student. So don’t worry to be active, and do the positive things guys, cause we are as student have the biggest role in education development, you know together we can. Let us make Student’s power to improve Indonesian education.

I think it’s the end of my speech. I hope my short speech can open your mind about student’s power. And one more time I remind you “don’t worry to be active student, and do many positive things as you can”. I apologize if there are mistakes in my word, thank you for your attention.
